How often are records reviewed?

New deals appear in Mergr typically within a short time of being publicly announced. Existing records (PE firms, banks, law firms, professionals, companies) are refreshed on a rolling schedule.

Short answer: two parallel processes β€” new deals are added continuously as they're announced; existing records are systematically refreshed on a rolling cadence.

New transactions

Deals announced via press release or major regulatory filings are typically added to the Mergr database within a short time of their public release. For deals from less widely-covered sources, the lag may be longer β€” but every new transaction is targeted for inclusion as soon as we can verify it.

Existing record refreshes

Beyond new-deal coverage, we maintain a rolling refresh of existing records β€” PE firms, investment banks, law firms, professionals, and portfolio companies. A refresh updates whatever has changed since the last pass: team changes, AUM, portfolio status, office moves, website, contact details.

Spotted something out of date or incorrect?

If a record looks stale or wrong, email support@mergr.com with the firm/company name and what needs updating. User-flagged corrections are handled outside the rolling cadence β€” typically within one business day.
