In this article, we'll isolate buyout transactions that have been announced in 2025.
Buyout transactions on Mergr are categorized as those backed by a private equity firm. These transactions are noted as a;
Buyout - A purchase of a private company by a private equity firm
Secondary Buyout - A purchase of a company by a private equity firm that is currently owned by another private equity firm
Going Private - A purchase of a public company by a private equity firm
Here's how you do the search on Mergr.
Step 1
Navigate to the M&A transaction search page by selecting 'Transaction Search' on the Dashboard page or 'Transactions' from the Menu tray.
Step 2
Once on the Transaction Search page, in the Transaction Criteria row of search options, locate the 'Invest Situation' search dropdown.
The 'Invest Situation' dropdown lists all the transaction deal types for 'buying' or 'investing' in a company. Here, select 'Buyout', 'Going Private', and 'Secondary Buyout'.
Step 3
Next, locate the 'From' and 'To' based date fields in the same row of search options.
Here, you can isolate transactions by month and year. To isolate buyout deals that occurred in 2025, we need to add '2025' in both the 'From' and 'To' Year dropdowns.
Step 4
Select Search.
Your results will contain all 'Buyout' transactions that have been announced in 2025.
