How to View a PE Firm's Portfolio on Mergr

Look up a private equity firm and explore its current and former portfolio companies, sorted and filtered by sector, geography, deal date, or counterparty type

Step 1 — Find the firm

If you know which firm you're looking for, the fastest path is the search bar at the top of any Mergr page. Type the firm name (e.g., KKR, Audax, Hellman & Friedman) and pick the match from the autocomplete.

Step 2 — Open the firm's profile, then click Portfolio

Selecting the firm opens its profile page. The main page summarizes the firm — latest deals, description, top management, and investment criteria.

To view the firm's portfolio companies, click the Portfolio tab.

Step 3 — Read and filter the portfolio table

The Portfolio tab lists the firm's current and former investments. The default view shows Current investments, ordered with the most recent first.

The table is sortable and filterable across several dimensions:

  • Investment date or Exit date

  • Sector of the portfolio company

  • Country

  • Buy / sell scenarios — e.g., portfolio companies bought from or sold to other PE firms

  • Add-on and Exit counts — how many add-on acquisitions (and/or exits) each platform has made under this firm's ownership

Tips

For a deeper view of who the firm has bought from and sold to across its full history, use the Trading Partners toolkit tool. For an LLM-narrated profile of the firm, use Dossier.
