Search Mergers & Acquisitions by Company

How to quickly look-up and view the M&A history of specific companies

Updated today

At Mergr there are a couple of ways to view the M&A activity for a specific company. The simplest method is to enter the company name (or ticker symbol) in the upper search bar and navigate directly to the company of interest.

Here are the steps.

Step 1

Locate the Search field in the upper left corner once logged into your account. This field is present across all pages in the member area of Mergr.

Step 2

Enter the name of the company that interests you. If the company you're searching for is publicly traded, you can also enter its stock symbol. For example, 'Microsoft' or 'MSFT'.

If the company exists in the Mergr database, as you type, a dropdown will emerge of choices to select from.

Selecting the company will take you directly to its details page.

Step 3

Each company's details page contains a summary page about the business - we call this the 'Profile' tab, as well as a series of additional tabs centered around M&A - including advisors, investors, and other details.

Once on a company's 'Profile' page - if the company has 'M&A' (at least 1 buy-side event or 1 sell-side event), you'll see a tab labeled 'M&A Activity'. This tab will list the total 'M&A' events that we have in the Mergr database (buy-side + sell-side). If a company does not show an 'M&A Activity' tab - this indicates we don't have any M&A activity in the Mergr database for it.

Select the 'M&A Activity' to view the list of transactions present in the Mergr database.

Step 4

That's it.

Once on a company's M&A Activity tab - transactions are listed by date, most recent first, however you can also filter by Sector, Transaction Type, Geography and More.

You can view the original announcement for the deal as well. To view this, select the Newspaper icon in the SRC column.
