Search

In this example, we'll build a list of former PE backed companies that just 'exited'.

Step 1

Navigate to the Company Search page.

Step 2

Once on the Company Search page, expand the search menu by selecting 'More Options'.

Step 3

With the search menu expanded - locate the 'Ownership Status' block in the left column and select the PE Backed (Former) checkbox. Select Search.

Step 4

You now have a list of companies that were previously owned by a PE firm.

Note: Companies in the result set could also currently be owned by a PE firm as well. To see who the previous owner(s) were, select a result. The previous owners are viewable in the right column.

Step 7

By default, your result set will be ordered by 'Acquisition Count - High to Low', however, in this case, we want former PE backed companies that have recently exited, so we will adjust the sort to 'Was Acquired - Most Recent Date First'.

Results

After sorting the list, you can view the most recently acquired formerly PE backed companies.

Summary

That's it - of course you can add additional filters, such as sector or geography to refine your search.
