The Transaction Search interface is divided into three sections.

The first row of the Transaction Search interface (highlighted in Blue below) allows you to search deals by transaction specific characteristics including Deal Type, Date, and Value.

The second row (highlighted in Red) allows you focus your search based on the Target Companies involved.

The final section (highlighted in Yellow below) allows you to add conditions for who the Buyer (or Seller) is, as well as whether an Advisor worked on the deal.

Here is an explanation of each criteria.

1. Type

We categorize each transaction entered into the database by type. If you're interested in Divestitures, Buyouts, or Add-on Acquisitions, select from the Type dropdown.

2. Year

Add time conditions by selecting from the Year range dropdowns.

3. Deal Value

Filter for Deals based on size by selecting from the Deal Value dropdown.

4. Keyword

Filter Deals based on Target Company descriptions using the Keyword text field.

5. Sector

Filter Deals based on Target Company sectors by selecting from the Sector dropdown.

6. 7. and 8. City / State / Country

Filter Deals based on location with the City, State, and Country fields.

9. and 10. Buyer Type and Seller Type

Filter Deals based on who the Acquirer and/or Sellers are. For example, selecting Private Equity Firm within Buyer Type will limit transactions to those where the investor is a Private Equity Firm.

11. Advisors

If you're interest is identifying transactions where an M&A Advisor was used - you can add this condition here.
